About the Opportunity

We are on a mission to help people improve their brain health by providing essential diagnostic insights through our FDA cleared BrainScope® One medical device.  

We’re looking for an experience Android application designer that can own our customers’ needs and drive them into cutting edge applications.  Using our advanced machine learning algorithms, we want a lead designer to innovate our application to challenge the status-quo in clinical diagnostic applications.  We are looking for an application designer to drive Brainscope’s applications to become the de-facto standard of care in the neurology treatment space.

Your Responsibilities & Contribution

  • Lead Android application design including workflow, graphics, and all related usability parameters

  • Develop concept artwork, and execute feedback studies and mock trials with customers to rapidly iterate design concepts

  • Provide leadership with internal hardware and software development teams to provide consistent implementation and design language across Brainscope product(s)

  • Support growth of Brainscope brand to future products, including pending cloud capabilities

  • Work as part of a fast moving, cross functional team to improve the quality of care for all patients with head injuries

  • Teach UI/UX and usability best practices through the internal development team and the greater organization

What you Bring to the Team

  • BS, MS, BFA, or MFA degree in graphic design, industrial design, human computer interaction or other related field

  • 3-5 years’ experience developing user interfaces, applications, or workflows, preferably for Android OS

  • Ability to plan and execute usability testing with customer groups

  • Ability to lead internal design efforts with best practice methods for usability and focused design

  • Ability to influence key decision makers on future implementations and design-based investments

  • Ability to translate skills outside of the core product to develop consistent UI/UX design language across products
