About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager. This role will be accountable for prospecting, targeting, and generating new strategic customers for BrainScope to ensure the expansion and growth of utilization for the BrainScope One platform within their geographic region. This includes overseeing and leading the identification of business opportunities, building and fostering client relationships by creating value, and delivering initial purchase orders of BrainScope One to meet/exceed sales forecasts and goals.

  • Reports to Senior Director, Commercial Business Development

  • We are hiring a full time position based in Seattle, WA / Portland, OR

  • Requires travel, 80% of the time across the assigned territory

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn, develop, and execute strategies to grow BrainScope One’s placements, presence, and revenue across all priority customer segments as appropriate, specifically Urgent Care, Emergency Departments, and Sports

  • Identify and manage target opportunities within various customer segments and engage those targets to qualify new potential opportunities

  • Set an aggressive sales strategy and sales plan to develop targets as new potential customers, while developing physician and key stakeholder champions

  • Negotiate new account sales using established corporate guidelines

  • Presentations to key account stakeholders which could include the following:  Physician department heads, CEO, CFO, CMO, VP of Supply Chain, Nursing Managers, etc

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with BrainScope Team members and contribute positively to the sales team through communication and sharing

  • Consistently maintain administrative responsibilities within CRM system that will provide timely and current information on targets within geographic region, and provide requested information such as sales reports, forecasts, pipeline and other tracking requests

  • Develop business plans and customer specific presentations and effectively present them to target customers in order to facilitate the purchase of our products

  • Develop a thorough understanding and ability to communicate the reimbursement environment for our products

  • Be proficient in product and clinical knowledge to execute on BrainScope’s value proposition to the various decision makers and stakeholders in order to develop the market and drive growth in the business to meet goals and objectives.  Follow and comprehend clinical and journal articles relative to TBI and BrainScope’s research, and keep pace with the rapidly changing head/brain injury landscape to inform BrainScope strategy

  • Communicate with the Senior Director of Commercial Business Development on pricing and placement strategies and with Customer Operations on acceptance and pull through (i.e. site expansion and revenue)

  • Establish, maintain and grow executive business relationships with key BrainScope accounts working to understand and meet customer’s needs consistent with the BrainScope mission and high BrainScope standards and values

  • Acts as a team player for driving our business within BrainScope’s various markets, providing a coordinated BrainScope approach


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)

  • 5-10 years of experience in healthcare sales

  • Relationship-selling, partnering and managing accounts

  • Ability to understand a financial Proforma and communicate the value proposition

  • Understanding of the operational levers in each market and what is important to the customer

  • Keen understanding of the capital buying cycle and process within the healthcare space

  • Fiscal budgetary responsibility

  • Ability to travel 80% of the time required

  • Experience selling into the C-Suite

  • Ability to quantify and close prospective new clients

  • Collaborative, goal-driven, confident self-starter with a willingness to continually embrace professional development and a passion to excel

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated exceptional written, oral communication, presentation and strategic thinking skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite along with demonstrated ability to create/ edit PowerPoint, update excel reports, and work within a CRM system

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy
